Would you forgive your Dad after he has done so many terrible things? In my point of view, the conflict of the book, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time is person vs. person because this book’s conflict is only resolved if Christopher forgives his Father for lying to him about what he has done. To explain how Christopher’s conflict was resolved, I decided to make a collage with key moments that shows how Christopher has forgave his Father and how his life got better.

Now I would be explaining why I chose the specific pictures in his happy collage. Haddon writes, “But it was OK because Sandy slept on my bed so he would bark if anyone came into the room during the night “(220). As you can see there are many pictures of a dog with a boy, the reason I put it in is because the dog was a big reason Christopher is less frightened of his Father. Sandy(dog) lived with his dad so he started to enjoy the times to go to find his Father because he could also play with Sandy. Haddon writes, “Christopher, I would never, ever do anything to hurt you” (219). There are many pictures of his Father hugging him because I found it very important because his Father wanted him to know he loved him very much. Haddon writes, “And I got the results of my maths A level and I got an A grade” (220). I included a few pictures of him with the math test because he always wanted to take it, and because of this test result, he felt very happy. Haddon writes, “We moved into a room in a big house that was made of red bricks” (216). There are a few photos of him with his Mother living together because of course knowing his Mother is still alive is like the greatest thing he will ever know. Haddon writes, “…Father made a vegetable patch in the garden and I helped him. And we planted carrots and peas and spinach and I’m going to pick them and eat them when they’re ready” (220). I put 2 photos of Father and son playing in the garden because this quote shows Christopher decided to forgive his Father and was no longer scared of him. Since this was a fabulous ending, I decided to put a happy face in the middle to express his feeling, happy.

I used Word to create my Collage.
I used Google Images to find the photos.
