poem for f451 poem for f451

This found poem in Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury represents the scene when Montag crosses the river and throws his darkness, which makes Montag afraid.  However, after meeting Granger and the other forbidden people he starts to have hope, shown by the words in the poem trust, glow, starlight, light and luminous. The poem has many words with a positive connotation, which represents Montag’s feelings and the fact he still has hope. “… floating in a sudden peacefulness, away from the city and the lights and the chase, away from everything.” (Bradbury 142). This represents the idea that Montag is feeling safe, peaceful and mostly hopeful.

OKAY? And OKAY. These might seems not important but in the story its like their conversation is all about. “’Okay,’ I said. ‘Okay,’ he answered. I could hear his crooked smile. (Green 81). This quote shows that OKAY? And OKAY. Act as a code between them. OKAY? And OKAY. Always made them happy. Even though they are in a depressing mood okay and okay lead them to happiness. book cover for tfios
