polymer project (FIRST POST!)

March 30th, 2015

My own polymer would be used to cover the car and prevent the car crashes. These days we are having so much trouble with car crashes. This polymer would impact our world by able to prevent car crashes and deaths. Be able car to not break while car crashes polymer should be really bounce, soft and stretchable. We have 2 kinds of polymers. We have polymer that is bouncy but the stretchable and we have polymer that is soft and stretchable but not bouncy. If I use one that bouncy but not soft and stretchable I will need tones of it and whether the car crashes with or without the polymer that is not bouncy the car would still break. If I use one that is not bouncy but soft and stretchable I won’t need to make tones of it but it is still not bouncy. So I thought of combining both of the polymer and have every qualities I need for the polymer.

Connect with Nick Waters

People are lot more brave when they are up to something they are curious about. Nick Waters in the book SCAT by Carl Hiaasen he is a coward. “Nick’s chin dropped to his chest. If he answered yes, he’d risk making a mortal enemy of Smoke. If he answered no, Mrs. Starch would pick on him mercilessly for the risk of the school year” (Hiaasen 9). Nick is scared to share his own opinion when teacher is asking him how he feels because Nick thinks that something horrible would happen to him. “Nick wasn’t sure if sneaking into Mrs. Starch’s house was the bravest thing he’d ever done, or the dumbest” (135). Nick even though he is a coward who can’t even share is own thoughts he is sneaking in to his scarcest teacher. He is risking his “life” to get some evidence from the mystery event that happened to Mrs. Starch.

Nick Waters have lots of similar part with me. By the way my name is Nick Choi. When I was young I was afraid of my house. Every time I see some place dark I always freak out and run to my dad. But one day with my cousin I wanted to explore my house. It was a huge house for a baby. My cousin and I was really closed and we wanted to go to the dark place and find something interesting if can. One hand we were holding each other and on other hand we were holding a weapons. My point is that we are brave when we are into something and want to explore something.

French Revolution Journal Entry

March 29th, 2015

The French Revolution was very violent and many people died. The French people were divided into two groups at that time, rich and poor. Their life wasn’t fair. Rich people did not have to pay as much in taxes as the poor people. To show their anger at their situation, the peasants marched and attacked the prison on the east side. This was the first conflict in the French Revolution, the Storming of the Bastille. The prison became the symbol of the monarchy’s dictatorial rule. Even though the peasants got the weapons at the prison, they still did not have the food they desperately needed. Many, mostly women, marched through the heavy rain, holding various weapons, and attacked the city wall, which held a great amount of food. Once the peasants got the food, they demanded that the king be killed. However, once the king and queen were killed, there was chaos. This led to the second major conflict of the revolution, Marching to Versailles. Robespierre came up to power, and even though he was a great public speaker he ruled people by fear. He was the major figure in the third part of the revolution, Reign of Terror. He killed many people. Whoever was suspected as enemies of the revolution was guillotined. After Robespierre’s death the Reign of Terror also ended.

French Revolution brought many changes. People in French lived based on freedom, equality and brotherhood. However there had some part that did not change. French still had one person (Napoleon) held the power to rule. But Napoleon was different than others. He gave what French citizens needed.

Will the shot go in

We learned about how to graph the real life situation with quadratics. Quadratics is used in the real world to show varied things such as force, speed and more. By using the equation y=Ax2+ Bx+ C you can figure the vertex, speed, angles and more. A, B and C depends on the situation. The meaning of three words can be varied by what is happening. You can graph the situation with y=Ax2+ Bx+ C but when we are graphing we only measure the restricted part meaning the part we only need. There has a lot of quadratics uses in real world application such as badminton, basketball, dolphin jumps and lot more. When graphing you only need the restricted part, which I mentioned before. For example when you are graphing the basketball shot you only need the point before the basketball net because you don’t need the part when the ball crosses the net.
