Portrait Technique

In this photo, we tried to go a close up that is well lit and clear. We wanted to show details of her gave and hair, and make the photo interesting and colorful by having a bright colored background and a unique hat. We had the camera set at low aperture to have the focus to be on her and not the background.

For this photo, we tried to do motion blur, but the shutter speed was to quick. Though I still like this photo, because there are many types of color in this photo. The dark color of the dark arm and the shadow creates a contrast with the well lit face and cloth.

For this photo, I wanted to take a natural photo of her. The hand and hair creates bit of a motion to add some interesting element in the photo. The ballon also adds additional texture from the rest of the things that does not reflex light.

For this photo, I wanted to do a faceless photo, showing the point of view of the person in the photo. I did shallow depth of field to be able to have the focus in her and not the bubbles. There is also negative space to show the view of her.

For this photo, I wanted to do a intense close up of her face. It shows the details of her expression and movement. By having a shallow depth of field it focuses of her face, and blurs the arm on the back to be able to show her movement but in the same time not distracting the focus.

In this photo, we wanted to have the model to interact with the props. So we used the bubble to create interaction and to add a theme to the photo. The focus is on her face, because I wanted to focus on her expression instead of her movement.

For this photo, we wanted to use the hat as a tool to add some actual color to the photo. With the background of blue color, it makes contrast with the white shirt and the warm skin color. The green and yellow hat adds extra color to make the photo more interesting.

For this photo, I used the rule of thirds, to have the model in the corner of the photo. By doing this, it creates focus of her. The hat that she is holding has an totally different texture of the wall, so it call bring attention to her which is holding the hat.

For this photo, we wanted to make a standard portrait shot with a ballon. By having the balloon it adds texture to the photo. We wanted have the focus fully on her, so we did not have anything in the background. The detail that is on her created contrast with the plain background to create more focus.

For this photo, we tried to do a faceless portrait and put the focus on the background which has the the most color. We used to hat with a bright yellow color, so there could will be some focus on the model.
