Polymer Journal #2

The goal of our (Vanessa and I) polymer is to improve furniture. My partner and I want to make a polymer that functions similar to play dough. The main function of this polymer is to put over sharp corners of tables so that people won’t hurt themselves when they accidently hit the corner. A lot like baby proofing. The target audience of our polymer includes parents of young children, clumsy people. The biggest target audience is parents because kids often hurt themselves on furniture, so parents would love to have something to prevent their kids from getting hurt. Another reason parents would want this product is because Kids always want comfortable furniture and they would love to have a comfortable pillow on their furniture. If young kids want something, most parents would buy it for them. Clumsy people would also love this invention because they would like to stop hurting themselves often and getting small bruises, cuts everywhere.

My partner and I would like to combine two of the polymers we tested out at school together. We like some of the characteristics of 3 of the slimes. We want to use super slime because it’s very soft like jelly, and it molds very easily. Stretchtastic because it’s very stretchy and sticky. We don’t think that Oobleck would be very good for our prototype because it hardens afterward and doesn’t stick.
