Game is my life

During Ignite Week, I worked on making my game. That is based on my day.

To complete this project, I Thought about my day. I started thinking when I waked up and going to school. I thought about my day. Every day, I felt that every day was the same day. But it wasn’t. I thought about my classes and after-school activities. And thought about how can make this into a game?

During the process, not even a deep understanding of my day, I learned that games that I play every day are made by hundreds and thousands of codes. I learned to code

The L21 area that I focused on was using feedbacks and identifying the problems and fixing them because, when I was working on a game I if was only using my thinking. But if I use other feedbacks and problems for Using others opinion, many peoples will agree on my game.

To meet my goals in this area, I asked my friend what things can I change? And they kindly responded to my question.

Some skills that I gained through this project include using scratch and coding. This skill will benefit me in the future because my dream if a robot engineer so I can program and make games with coding.

Game Is My Life-2

During the project, I used my pen tablet for my character and background. It helped me draw things fast, and it saved some time for me. I use a program called Scratch. With scratch, I can code many different things. In this case, it is a game. I needed coding skills and some creativities.  And with youtube and some other videos, I thought my self how to code. And I learned many codes that can make the icons move. From the feedback, I noticed that I was slow at making codes so form feedback by Jake, I decided to make an animation with the scratch.

After the Chinese new year break, Ignite week started witch is today. I am making a game with my day. This game will have mini-games. I am working with Julian

By Friday I hope to accomplish on making half of my game. The game Is the shorter version of 14 hours.

What I hope to learn during this process understanding a bit more about my day and learning how to program.

Drop 0

 

In Project Collisions, I am creating a system to deliver foods to the peoples who can’t get foods easily. For example, peoples in the battle area, by drones. The drone will release the package from a height of up to 10 meters, and my job as an engineer is to develop a solution so that the box is protected in its fall.

For Drop 0, a package with the dimensions of was dropped from a height of 5 meters. Below is a photograph of the package:

The package will hold A hamburger, A drink and some fruits inside, items are organized like this:

The purpose of Drop 0 is to get baseline data about our package. The group developed a testing procedure so that we can be consistent on how data is collected throughout the design cycle.

 Procedure

  1. Person A folds the parachute twice. And bring it up.
  2. Make sure Person A is carrying their computer to the drop area, person B is preparing for the drop and person C is waiting down to pick up and record the data after the package is dropped. 
  3. Person A Check the product, check if there is anything that’s not stable or need to finalize. (Checking for last minute completing) 
  4. Person C check if the Logger Pro is plugged into the computer and start video recording. 
  5. Person A goes up to the dropping area and measure the high for the drop. Person A aim for the force plate. 
  6. Person B make sure the product is at the needed height. 
  7. Wait for the video person B to start the video and the data recording. 
  8. Person B judges if the drop will be safe and if it is, send a signal to person A for the drop. 
  9. Make sure there is one person C waiting down to pick up the package and collect data. 
  10. Drop the package in a safe position. 
  11. Sit down together as a team, look over the package and the data. 
  12. Compare with what we had before. 
  13. Look at the mistakes and find out a solution then fix it. 

*If successful:  

  • Encourage each other and keep the product safe in place. 

*If not successful: 

  • Encourage each other, compare the data with drops before, look at the mistake, find a solution, fix the error. Collect data. 

 

During the drops, I noticed that Sometimes, Our package will twist and also hit in the corner. So I thought that it was a big problem that we needed to fix. The following data was collected:

The average time it took for our package to fall the 5 meters was 1 Second. Using LoggerPro, we plotted out the fall of the package.

Our package got faster and faster.

A force plate at the bottom of the drop was used to collect data on the impact force of the package. Our group was It hit the target, but it bounced and half a meter. As a project metric for accuracy, we want our project to 40~50cm.

The average force on impact was 98. As a project metric, our group has decided to make a parachute to 40

Summary: Project Metrics

Our team has determined that the three most important criteria to design towards are Accuracy, soft landing, and food in shape. Below, each metric is described, and the goals were determined by data from Drop 0.

  • Soft landing land with force about 30~50 with is about 40% difference.
  • Have accuracy and make it land on the force plate.
  • Food is separated.

 

Our group is now building the first prototype. I hope that we have the things above.

我个子高,眼睛大,因为我的皮肤又白又嫩,所以粉丝叫我‘豆腐’。我很漂亮。

我有时候一边唱歌,一边弹钢琴。

除了弹钢琴,我还喜欢听音乐。

2016年, 我跟朋友一起去过北京。

北京是特别雄伟的城市。

 

An Egg the never Breaks.

On Monday, January 7, I began Project Collisionswith an egg drop. This design challenge was to drop a raw egg from a height of 5 meters without breaking it. A material list with items to purchase was provided. We came up with an idea of making a parachute and make our egg slow down

 

Then, working in a group, we decided to make a parachute and add a corn at the bottom to absorve the damages that the egg gets. To do this we bought A4 papers. With A4 papers, we slao made spring that can lower the speed at the end.

 

As the egg was dropping, our parachute used winds to make the speed slow. And as the cone tilt and hit the floor, The spring saved the egg.

 

Our design was successful/unsuccessful because It slowly came down,

 

Next time, I would add a bigger parachute.

A Great Barrier that Blokes Sugar Molecules

In FA-7 science class, we investigated the size of an egg. At first, we saw this video on youtube about an egg changing its volume. In that video that we saw an egg that was put into vinegar for 24 hours and put into water and corn syrup also for 24 hours. And I was amazed by it. The size of the egg changed so much that I could see that the edges changed. And after looking at this video, we draw a simple model.

After drawing the model, we saw the video several times, and our group wrote a prestige. We also thought of independent variable and dependent variable. There were time, temperature, and size of the nicer was the thing that we came up with of, the nicer was the thing that we came up with.

In our first test, we used water for A, syrup for B, liquid soap for the C

Our groups understand that…

1. Sugar molecules can go inside of this egg. Vinegar melted the egg’s shell. But not big enough for the sugar molecules.

2.low density moves to higher density. So the egg got bigger/lower until the density is averaged out.

River Field Study – Data Collection 3

 

Second location for our data collection.

On Nov 20th FA class want to field study. It was our 5th times that we went to field study but it was the 3rd time that we collected. We usually go to the river during 1st and 2nd block. WhenYu river is a river that is 10 minutes apart from ISB. (When you ride a car) We are trying to learn the difference of pH, turbidity. We also want to know if time and temperature effects the pH and turbidity.

 

 

In this trip, the I infer that higher speed makes pH lower and makes turbidity higher. So maybe next time there will be a visible difference with my observation.
