The Sisters Grimm- The Unusual Suspects

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 3:31 am

the sisters Grimm, descendants of the brothers Grimm, famous “fairy tale” writers, had discovered that the fairy tales are not fiction, but are real, and the characters, Ever-afters, are alive and kicking. but they live in a town called Ferryport Landing, disguised as humans, and are trapped there. a evil Ever-after called Rumplstiltskin hatched a plan to break the barrier that trapped the ever-afters inside. but that would cause chaos. so they have to stop him…

my favorite character is Puck, because he can turn to anything he wants. he can even make wings sprout from his back! he’s also funny, and often gets into mischief. that’s why i like him most.

in this book, mr. Canis, AKA the big bad wolf, saved everyone but resulted in getting himself killed. other books show that too, and a prime example is Percy Jackson: the last Olympian- when Annabeth blocked a stab to percy (but she didn’t die).

the children of green knowe

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 3:51 am

maybe only the family of old Knowe can see them, and Boggis is not in their family. or maybe they were at the right place at the right time, and boggis just missed them. also, maybe they’re just shy, and in the next few books, Tolly would convince them to meet Boggis, and they’ll turn out to like him.

THE SISTERS GRIMM – THE FAIRY TALE DETECTIVES

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 5:37 am

two sisters, Sabrina and Daphne, are orphans. but to every foster home they go,they escape. one time, they go to a old woman named Relda Grimm’s home, and she claims she’s their grandma. but Sabrina doesn’t believe her, and tries to escape anyway, but fails. then, after a grand adventure, and they learn a lot of facts about their family… including the fact that their parents are still alive

my favorite character is puck, because he’s funny, and the fact that he can turn into anything he wants. also, he saves the main characters from jack (from jack and the beanstalk).

jack is a traitor who craves attention. i’ve lived with someone like that for my whole life: my7 brother. he would convince you to do something like, say, make his bed, then he would say he did it himself. that’s why i hate him so much.

charlie and the great glass elevator

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 12:42 am

this story is the sequel of “charlie and the chocolate factory”. as we all know, at the end of that book, they were using the elevator to go to the chocolate factory. but in this book, they were going up, up and up to the atmosphere’s end, but mr. Wonka made a mistake and they were in orbit. but then, they found out that they were not the only ones orbiting in space…

(that’s all i read to)

my favorite character is mr. Wonka. he is fun, nice and smart. without him, this adventure wouldn’t exist! so that is why i like him the most.

there are many movies and books that include space transportation. my favorite ones are “star wars” and “star trek.” they all have aliens, space buildings (buildings that float in space)

5th grade fantasy unit

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 4:15 am

my favorite part of this kind of writing is the ideas that you can use. you can use talking blue-haired crics with two hundred eyes to just plain wizards. (personally, i like the first one the best.)

one element i use in my stories is hero’s journey. it’s like this: the hero starts in a normal life, see, then there is a call to adventure. then there’s a assistance, then departure, then trials, blah blah blah, then the hero wins and goes back to his normal life, but with something better.

the best fantasy story i read was Roald Dalh’s fantastic mr.fox. it’s good because i like stories with talking animals (especially penguins).

THE WELLNESS 5TH GRADE PROJECT

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 3:52 am

in this year, we learned a lot of facts about the human body. (did you know that if you stretch you blood veins out, it can wrap around the earth 3 times?) i think it’s very important because if someone gets hurt, you can help him or her (i don’t recommend it, though).

i think i can improve my health by eating less. i am a bit round, and i think i should exercise more.

for the digestive system, you have to eat less berries, because they have a lot of small seeds that are hard to digest. to keep it healthy, you can eat more foods that are good for your stomach like bananas and kimchi 9yeah, kimchi is good for you).

in this project, i learnt that the heart doesn’t produce blood. it only pumps blood, and the bone marrow produces extra blood.

the heroes of olympus: mark of Athena

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 2:18 am

this story starts when Annabeth Chase, daughter of athena, rides on the argo II, headed for camp Jupiter. on the argo II rides Jason Grace, Leo Valdez and Piper Mclean. they’re there to retrieve percy jackson from there. when they arrived, leo got possessed by a ghost, and accidentally attacked the camp, and thus caused a war between the roman and the greek demigods. fortunately, they retrieved percy, and two others called frank and hazel. they go on a quest to stop Gaea, mother earth herself, from wakening and destroying the Olympian gods. however, annabeth gets a gift from her mother to retrieve what could be the solution for the roman/greek demigod war. read the book!

i like leo valdez the most, because he’s funny, nice, and he can build a full-functioning nuke with legos.

i once read this book where a god that made life itself wanted more and attacked earth. the characters defeated him, and they were safe.

«ook and gluk – kung fu cavemen from the future» the second epic novel by george and harold.

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 3:26 am

yes, i know the title is long and weird. but it’s a good book!

it’s about two caveman kids called ook and gluk and their mean chief, chief goppernopper. goppernopper wants to marry ook’s sister, so ook and gluk went to find a soulution. they saved the t rex mog-mog, so they went to stop goppernopper. he was kicked out of the village. when he was walking away, he met his grandchild’s grandchild’s grandchild’s grandchild’s grandchild’s grandchild… and they went together and came up with a secret plan of enslaving the whole cavemen race.

my favorite character in this book is lily, the mog-mog’s daughter. when ook and gluk was captured by evil robots, lily vomited and saved them.

a connection is in this comic i read, when a father and son was attacked by a burglar, the son accidentally dropped a tack on the floor, and he burglar stepped on it.

Rascal

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 4:32 am

the book Rascal is about a boy who adopts a raccoon who he named rascal, because of the natural black mask around his eyes. the boy had other pets: a dog, woodchucks, a crow, cats and even skunks. he lived with only his father. his father let him build a canoe in the living room and let him have any pet he wanted. he had  two older sisters, a big brother who was fighting in WWI, and his mom was dead. they had a lot of fun and adventures together, like going camping, planting, and going to his uncle’s house. but, in the end, the boy realized that he can’t keep rascal forever, and he was dating a female anyway. so he let him join the female, and he started a new life.

my favorite character in this story is rascal, because he’s so cute. he’s smart, too, because when the boy locked him in a cage, he figured out how to get out. he learnt to swim, and how to take an ear of corn off the plant.

a connection i have is when we had hamsters. we used to let them out during the day, but they kept chewing on things, so we had to lock them in cages. in this book, the boy used to let rascal out, but he kept stealing other people’s crops.

My Teacher is an Alien!

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Robinson @ 3:16 am

once upon a time, there was a school. in the school, there was a classroom with the teacher Ms. Schwartz. in the class, there was a kid called Susan Simmons. and her friend is Peter Tompson. one day, Susan found out that the new teacher that came for the rest of the year, Mr. smith, is actually an alien, and he captured Ms. Schwartz, and will capture 5 more kids! what will she do? find out!

my favorite character in this book is peter, because he’s smart, nice and has a sense of adventure.

this connects to a story i read in a book when an alien wants to capture a town, (the whole thing, buildings and all) but the townsfolk found out his weakness… egg salad. they take the whole supply of it from the school, and shoot it onto the ship with cannons.
