北京国际学校的环保方式 ISB’s Ways of being Eco Friendly

In ISB, students and teachers who didn’t finish their food can throw the food in the food bin. I think this is beneficial to our environment because we can use this food that is in the bin into compost for the plants. This way, the food we didn’t finish can be used to grow more food that we can consume again. This cycle is very friendly to the environment as all the stuff we didn’t eat can be made into compost and grow more food, then we don’t waste the food. But I have noticed that most people in our school don’t give a second thought on what they put in the bin and this can affect the process of making compost. I think students and staff should be more aware on what they are putting in the food bin.

Hydraulic LIFT 2000

One thing I learned about hydraulics is that water is not compressible. This was very interesting to me because I learned before that water’s particles are farther apart and I thought because of that it could be compressed. One problem I overcame is that I was able to get the rail system to work when the bard would get stuck. I created the system because my lift would lift up and not extend the arms. My greatest success in this was being able to lift a whole box of nails. The lift was just able to lift the box up,
