The opening ceremony will begin at 8:30am with events commencing at 8.45am and will conclude in time for the end of the school day. We encourage all parents and family members to come and cheer on your child in what is sure to be an action packed, fun-filled day.

Students will sign up with their homeroom teacher for their picnic lunch if they wish, instead of the usual school lunch. Students who bring their own lunch from home must make sure nothing needs to be heated in a microwave. The PTA have kindly provided us with a popsicle for each student.

We will be asking if some parents can help give out ribbons at the finish line during track events. Announcements will be made to come down and help.

If the AQI is above 150 at 7:30am on the day we will reschedule to Thursday, April 19th. If it is above 150 AQI on the rescheduled day the day will unfortunately be cancelled.

We hope to see everyone there! Go Dragons!

Thank you, ESPE Team – Josie O’Reilly, Caleb Hill, Tom Parun and Leo Liu

Care for the planet – Roots and Shoots

No more plastic straws!

During the past ASA session, ES Roots and Shoots students looked at different ways to reduce the amount of plastic we throw away each day. To help avoid the waste caused by plastic straws, they decided to sell stainless steel straws to ISB students at cost.

You will be able to buy the pack of 3 different stainless steel straws and a cleaning brush (as shown here) for 20 rmb during UES lunch time, the week we return from Chinese New Year. The cloth bag makes it easy to carry the straws around in a purse or backpack.
