Principal’s List November 4

These students set the bar high for the rest of us!  They show us everyday what it means to live out the ISB Core Values of Global Mindedness, Integrity, Respect, Balance, Service, and Creativity.

Each should get a badge from their Homeroom Teacher as a thank you!

Grade 6
I appreciate Sam Morse, because Sam provides  connections between science concepts and the real world to the class. Sam demonstrates respect and integrity on a regular basis. He is prepared when he comes to class, participates regularly, he uses his time well, and volunteers to help when needed. Thank you Sam! Ms. Mo
Leander Wu and Britney Lu demonstrated outstanding collaboration, attitude, and responsibility by cleaning up and washing all the dishes after the 6.3 and 6.4 Homeroom Mentoring breakfast.
Daniel Lee continues to be a responsible student who strives for quality work and demonstrates balance. And his smile let’s others know he is enjoying learning!
Bali Cuthbert has always been responsible and focus in string class. She has been a good model for the cello section. Her behavior has been a good influence to the section which helps her group maintains a good learning atmosphere.
Congratulations Sveva Familiari for showing respect in class by coming to class prepared, working well with your group mates and putting forward interesting ideas.
Oscar Hamada has demonstrated balance by participating fully in class and completing homework while also preparing for the middle school play.
Grade 7
Ethan Koh is a community builder in FA! Every morning he arrives early and serves as a DJ so that we have great music to start our day by and, as needed, takes on extra jobs to help us get ready for the day.
Fennel Son shows balance as a student on a daily basis with her focus on getting her academic work completed on time regardless of her busy schedule and her commitment to remain cheerful and kind to everyone she greets. I always am happy to be greeted by Fennel in the morning when she arrives!
Olivia Xiao has been always responsible and striving for excellence in string class. She not only makes significant progress with her viola playing through the quarter, Olivia is always ready to share her knowledge of what we learn in class with others in the string class whenever there is a need. Olivia modeled behavior in string class.
Karen Li for demonstrating growth mindset/grit- perseverence and passion- in learning English and doing her best in all her subjects at ISB.
Vincent Gilligan assisted in Grade 7 Quarterly assembly that was well organized by STUCO representatives. He showed creativity in a speech that provided highlights of the quarter and emphasized ISB core values.
SooHwan Lim has shown dedication to the pursuit of his interest in math by joining MathCounts and spending time after school to challenge himself!
Anannya Umesh demonstrated integrity in our Chinese classroom when she took responsibility for her own behaviors without being reminded by myself or any of her peers.
Katelyn Chao showed support for her teacher, peers, and a productive environment.
Lynn Chen gets the award for stepping up and giving an amazing class presentation.  How can she be so happy speaking in front of people!?
Celena consistently demonstrates a dedication to excellence for herself and her classmates as she strives with integrity and respect to accomplish all of her academic and personal goals. It makes our class better for her being here.
Ashley Zhou has become more of a risk-taker as she demonstrates a dedication to excellence for herself and her classmates as she strives with integrity and respect to accomplish all of her academic and personal goals. It makes our class better for her being here.
Katie Chao demonstrates every day a dedication to excellence for herself and her classmates as she strives with integrity and respect to accomplish all of her academic and personal goals. She brings out the best in all of us who get to be with her every day.
Ava Nunan is the perfect member of our class as she demonstrates global mindedness and creativity as she has a wealth of intriguing ideas and information that she unfailingly shares that keep all of us on our toes with the intellectual directions she takes us in.  She helps us sit up and listen every day.
Jacqueline Liu stepped up to represent the student community and helped ISB to create a vision for the MS Spring trips.  She spoke confidently and showed strong leadership.
Ethan Koh stepped up to represent the student community and helped ISB to create a vision for the MS Spring trips.  Ethan is a great speaker, and an intelligent person, and shines when he steps up to speak in front of others.
Grade 8
Kenny Do has demonstrated excellent service and creativity by helping to plan our first 8th grade assembly. Thanks for all your hard work, Kenny!
Jonathan Zhang showed a great commitment to Service by organising and running the  Grade 8 Assembly.
Mell Mbaoh was super brave and showed creativity with music when he volunteered to play guitar during our 8th grade assembly, even though we ran out of time and didn’t get a chance to hear him play.  Thanks Mell!
Mikayla Hinton was willing to take the initiative to help other students to clarify confusing concept about music theory we talk about in class which demonstrated her maturity as a enthusiastic grade 8 student and caring for others. Well done!
Kenny Do has been a motivated, responsible and hard working cast member who has consistently performed well during the after school play rehearsals.
