MS Principal’s List For October 20

Here is the newest edition of the ISB Middle School Principal’s List.  These students have impressed their teachers by exhibiting ISB’s core values in a meaningful way.  We appreciate their leadership as they set an example for the rest of us!

Grade 6
Si Kai Feng has been consistently modeling respect and service to other students whenever there is a need during music class. He has been generously offering time, words of encouragement and sympathy to other students when they are facing technical difficulties in small group projects.
Eric Ge shows service with his work in STUCO and creativity in his classwork, especially in poetry and narrative writing.
Kim Taerin demonstrated the core value of service when she took the initiative to download the e-book on every single computer for her classmates.
Congratulations to Alan Chen, 6-4, for the wonderful job he did on his stool in Woodworking class. Alan used the skills that he learned to create a well-balanced stool.
Emily Ng consistently demonstrates integrity and respect for others through her actions in the classroom as well as in the hallways. Emily volunteers to help others and gives her best effort in her work and activities.
Stella Wu has shown a very positive attitude in the classroom and has demonstrated the ISB core values of creativity in her writing, leadership in class discussions, and respect for others.
Samantha Chan demonstrates Integrity and Respect by consistently giving her best effort in class, being considerate of others, and always willing to help her classmates.
Grade 7
Harrison Taylor has been ending every homeroom period with a inspirational message to the class.  Thanks for keeping us positive, sir!
Henry Zhou demonstrated the core value of respect on a daily basis. He greets to his teacher in the morning and says farewell before he leaves school in the afternoon. What a well mannered student!
Lily Upite has been a wonderful, caring member of her Mentoring and Humanities classes. She goes out of the way to assist students who are away by speaking to them about assignments, she is eternally helpful and aware of anything that might need doing by the class as a whole or by individuals. She is a person who her peers have come to count on and appreciate.
Bessy Bersabeh has been a wonderful, caring member of her  Humanities classes. She goes out of the way to assist students or provide academic or emotional support , she is eternally helpful and aware of anything that might need doing by the class as a whole or by individuals. She is a person who her peers have come to count on and appreciate.
Oscar Hamada has consistently shown his integrity and positive attitude in Chinese class. He is respectful to both his teacher and classmates. He is highly organised and responsible for his learning and assignments.
Grade 8
Jackie Yuan has a very busy life inside of school and out and balances it all very well.  She is hardworking and determined, and does all of that with a ready smile and a positive outlook!
Susan Sun has had an outstanding transition to ISB this year. She demonstrates respect to others and herself on a daily basis by putting forth great effort and always treating others kindly. She overcame her fears and demonstrated awesome balance on the Via Ferrata course as well. Susan has been impressing all of us this year and should be congratulated!
Congratulations to Clara Kim. We want to recognise Clara for her service. She took a risk to be a potential STUCO representative. She also was one of the first students to contribute to the annual Brick Drive.  Keep up the positive commitment to contribute to the world around you.
Erica Lee showcased a rich level of creative thinking as she excelled in linking and expressing the connections from the novel The Last Book in the Universe to global issues in today’s society.  Her creativity is enhanced by a “lead by example” approach in both humanities work and in FPR.
Sunny Roh showed amazing creativity in her Ignite Week cake. She applied a unique theme to her her cake and made use of several different methods and materials to execute her highly original design.
Hope Hsiao did a wonderful job of trying something new and she became a great videographer in just one week during Ignite Week’s – Make a Moment!
Sabrina Lam did a wonderful job of trying something new and she became a great videographer over just one week during Ignite Week’s – Make a Moment! Sabrina has always been a behind the scenes leader in FPR, but this time she took hold of a camera and amazed her viewers with her work!  Great job!  We look forward to seeing more of your productions in the future.
