Science Blogpost #1: Define and Inquire

What is this engineering task?

Design and create a device that transfers energy

What are you thinking about doing? (this can be multiple ideas)

I am making a homemade fan that is made with magnets

ANALYZE those ideas: What are the pros/cons about those ideas?

Pros: It works, can cool the air

Cons: not portable, battery unsustainable, fan move left and right inconsistently

Summer is coming soon, my project will help those who complain about the heat. This homemade fan is made to cool down objects. This fan can be used by anyone.  I am using my own creativity adding on to some inspirations on the internet to create this magnet powered fan. It is powered by a battery, using the strength of 2 magnets. When the fan is activated, it will transfer it’s electrical energy to kinetic energy. This is because the fan needs electric energy to spin, and then when it spins, kinetic energy is formed. Therefore this project is focused on a device that transfers electrical energy to kinetic energy. I can create my project on a stable platform so it will be portable and convenient to bring around. I will paint the base with different colors to make it more aesthetically pleasing. The existing products for precedents are fans and air conditioning.

For this product, I have to consider the safety, usefulness, and efficiency.

Keep jumping!

Keep jumping

Naruto is the protagonist of our game. There will be balls shooting at him from the right side, while he tries to dodge as many as he can.  To do that he has to press “space” to jump on the keyboard when the balls shoot at him. After you survive for 12 seconds, you proved that you are worthy to play this game, so I prepared something for you when you get there >:). I worked in a team with Lang. With my partner, we chose this topic because this sort of game is easy to make, understand and to get addicted(a little), as the player could die very easily. Therefore they would want to play again and keep trying to reach a high score.
