On Monday, January 7, I began Project Collisions with an egg drop. This design challenge was to drop a raw egg from a height of 5 meters without breaking it. A material list with items to purchase was provided. My first design was inspired by a video we watched during class. It is a paper cone with the egg inside so that the sharp part of the cone takes the impact of the five-meter drop.
Then, working in a group, we decided to add a parachute in hopes of it slowing down during the drop.
As the egg was dropping, I observed that the parachute made our design turn, causing our egg to be released and broken.
Our design was successful/unsuccessful because our parachute design was too small, and our cone was not very aerodynamic.
Next time, I would either make a bigger parachute or (if I decide to not include a parachute idea) make sure that our design is able to drop straight down (to make sure that it is aerodynamic).
Project Collisions is using the idea of drone delivery. During my research, I learned that there are many important and hard aspects of making a drone delivery. For example, if you are delivering food by drone, you have to check a few things. Some things include temperature control, correct destinations, and safe landing.
Through this project, I hope to fail many times so that I can improve and make the most efficient design based on my previous mistakes.

Summer is coming soon, my project will help those who complain about the heat. This homemade fan is made to cool down objects. This fan can be used by anyone. I am using my own creativity adding on to some inspirations on the internet to create this magnet powered fan. It is powered by a battery, using the strength of 2 magnets. When the fan is activated, it will transfer it’s electrical energy to kinetic energy. This is because the fan needs electric energy to spin, and then when it spins, kinetic energy is formed. Therefore this project is focused on a device that transfers electrical energy to kinetic energy. I can create my project on a stable platform so it will be portable and convenient to bring around. I will paint the base with different colors to make it more aesthetically pleasing. The existing products for precedents are fans and air conditioning.
For this product, I have to consider the safety, usefulness, and efficiency.

How i will be a kinder person
No language bully, example Korean people use Korean bad say to Chinese that is not good.
I can use this catchall to put my iPad, headphone, or some books in. Also i can hag on my ID card, my key. Also on the side of my catchall, i stick my skeduel. And the tape is use for stop make my catchall moving .
My biggest success was cutting wood. Because someone stood my wood that I cut. And the Skills that I learned or developed were using drill to drilling. Overall, I think this product was unsuccessful because i want to put more stuff, but there’s less time, and someone still my stuff. This is why i think my product is unsuccessful.
I think that i need to work on my attitude towards challenges because i have noticed that when i am given a challenge, my attitude is not always positive. To achieve my goal, i will look at the positives of the challenge such as what i will learn and how it will help me. I will make sure that i am achieving my goal by going towards challenges when i have the choice.
I had learned how to used the makey makey board. My audience is the parents and the older students. A problem I have is that there are not enough games that is challenging enough. I was inspired by a friend in america to make this game. It is challanging to make the scripts for the dragon.
This year, we used the L21 Wheel and basically this wheel has all the components that the school uses to evaluate us, in terms of individual growth; but this wheel also helps us to identify our strengths and weaknesses. And this is exactly the case because today I will be presenting an overview of my time in Eighth-grade academically-speaking of course, but even though we’re looking on my stay in Eighth-grade we will still be specifically focusing on the second trimester for most subjects.

For my OneDay project, I worked on making friendship bracelets out of embroidery thread. Originally, my plan was to make DIY phone cases but some issues came up when I was ordering online, so the bracelets were a backup plan.

out since it doesn’t look the best, but I still had a lot of fun making these.
This was the first bracelet I made during OneDay. I actually didn’t know how to make bracelets before so I struggled for a bit before being able to finish it. The colors of the embroidery thread looked very good together though the bracelet turned out too big. I added the two clasps and some rings to hold it together at the end.
After the first bracelet, I sort of experimented with other colors, such as the one below. I used normal braiding to make this bracelet but instead of ending it with the clasps, I used a small ring to connect the two ends.
I was running out of thread that I like so I turned to making a necklace, like this:
It wasn’t really handmade because the chain was already made and I only had to add a few beads to it. However, this was probably my favorite one out of the others.
This was similar to the necklace but this was a bracelet and the beads were purple.
During the OneDay this year, I learned many things. First of all, I learned how to make these bracelets as I had no clue at first. In the process of making these bracelets, I had several struggles and problems but I learned to be patient and to not give up on things easily.
I used the extruder to create big coils to make a bowl to decorate my room. The pot is made of white clay, molded in a red bucket. I smoothed the bottom of the coils for extra support. However i did not know that i attached the clay to the bucket. Using the extruder went well because I got my coils quickly and easily. This was a big help because rolling coils by hand is time consuming. However, my coils kept falling after i positioned them, so I smoothed the back of the coils to keep them in place. If I had to do this over again, I would put plastic wrap in between the bucket and the clay so the clay would not stick.
