Driving, my family and I went to Tian Jin – a city next to Beijing. There, we bought tickets for a tour around Wu Da Dao on a horse carriage. Wu Da Dao has its name because it contains of five different streets. “Wu” in Chinese means five, “Da” means large or long, and “Dao” means street or path. It is a well-known street because within it, you can see the architect that was designed long ago by famous designers and are all still well kept. It has its own unique characteristics, and it is a place where many historic events had happen.
When the tour was over we all had a clearer image of this extraordinary place. And, of course, learned a lot from the informative tour guide. I figured out that my mom has already planned out our trip. So, our next stop was the China House also called Ci Fang Zi. From distance away, we already noticed a yellow and turquoise building, then I saw a structure curved and bent around on top, it read “China”. When we reached there, our eyes widened. This grand museum was covered by millions of porcelain pieces of diverse colors and sizes. It has three floors opened to public and each floor included many artifacts from different dynasties. I noticed that there were also natural crystals and agates glued piece by piece against the walls as decorations. The most impressive part that I think is the ceiling of a balcony. Looking up, I could see round plates. The guide explained that the plate in the middle was the actual plate that the emperor have used. I can tell because it was the one most decorated and the ones around it was plainer.
We really enjoyed our trip because it was very informative like traveling back into history and learning this precious lesson. And yet we had lots of fun and took lots of photos, too!
