“The internal conflict”

The short story “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant. By W.D Wetherell. The short story describes the internal struggle from the narrator choosing between fishing a huge bass, or keeping Sheila Mant happy. In my found poem, i mainly focused on the struggles of the narrator, describing the scene, feeling and also his mood. For example, in the found poem i wrote ” Fishing was beautiful, but she said fishing’s dumb, its boring and all” This describes how the narrator’s hobbies was fishing, but contrary with his hobbies, Sheila Mant dislikes fishing. During his scene, he had a hard time choosing either to catch the biggest bass that he ever saw, or keep Sheila happy. At the end of the short story, the narrator realized that he didn’t like Sheila Mant anymore, instead he was regretting his decision on cutting the rod.
