Looking back at this project, I learned about cross contamination, how to use a knife in many situations, being prepared with everything, and much more from cooking meals to kitchen safety. Knowing what I know now, I would probably cook more frequently at home because I now know how to create a dish that is actually safe to eat and yummy. The mistake I learned from the most was the first time we made fritters when the oil almost splashed out because of not flipping it correctly, I learned to be careful with the oil and heat from then on.
Some skills I think I can use in the future is being prepared and knowing kitchen safety because this could help me stay organized and safe when I want to cook alone. One thing I am proud of doing is this entire ignite week because at first, I didn’t think that I would be able to do this so the fritters and pasta that our group made turned out way better than I thought it would be.
