We made a poem about an SDG goal. This poem is “Life below water”. It is about a polar bear’s death because of the human’s actions that have and are destroying nature.

It is for Our Good, and Yours Too

I am a polar bear.

I am a lonely, little polar bear without a family.

The melting ice caps took my mother

away to the heavens including my father.

I felt animosity towards humans.

It was in the shadows of November.

The sea was frigid and forlorn,

with the light of the moon, which is my hope,

glowing through the sea.

The shrieks of the penguins being eaten

by the sea lions echoed around,

and the scent of blood filled the misty air.

Just like the others, I searched for nourishment.

Abruptly, I saw a stranded,

young Beluga Whale wandering around.

“Food!” I yelled. I swam down,

when I heard a loud thump!

A colossal piece of ice, shattered,

and covered the light of the moon.

I have lost my hope.

I yelped and wailed

for somebody to help me, but I had no contingent.

I fell, hopelessly,

suffocated on the floor of the ocean.

It was time to go meet my family.

I felt animosity towards humans.

I am a polar bear.

I am a lonely, little polar bear without a family.

Now I am not part of nature.

I am gone from the world.

People who are listening to this poem,

please listen carefully.

I am a polar bear.

I am a lonely, little polar bear without a family.

You sent my family’s lives to heaven,

and now you escorted mine there too.

You did this because of money and industry.

You say you did this unintentionally so I will forgive you with amity.

But please fellow humans,

please leave our future generations alone.

It is for our good,

and yours too.
