For our product design class, we made a lightbox of the landscape or place that is special to us. I chose to make a mountain for my lightbox that usually went camping when I was in Korea. we went there every year. Sometimes we visit with others and sometimes I visit with my family. But because of Covid, I can’t go to Korea right now, and even I can go to Korea, I can’t go camping anymore until Covid is over. And after I came to China, I did not have a chance to go camping with my family, because we did not find a good place to go camping and my parents are busier than before so we did not have time to go camping.
While I was working on this project, I learn some skills that I didn’t know before. For example, I did not know how to use Abode Illustrator, but while I was working on this project, I learned how to use and teachers helped me when I was struggling with some skills that I need for this project. And I know how to use ikon for the Abode Illustrator. Also, I knew the great site to find the ikon that I want.
Things I changed during the project are I add stars and I change the full moon to crescent because I couldn’t find the image I want for the full moon. And next thing I change is the size of the mountain because I add more stars on the background, the mountain cover the star I need to make the mountain smaller than my plan. And If I do this project again, or do a similar project, I want to take more time on masking and painting because I made some mistakes when I paint.
“Fatal Fever: Tracking Down Typhoid Mary” is a non-fiction book written by Gail Jarrow. This book is about the deadly disease that spread during the 1900s in America, which is called typhoid fever. the main character is Mary who spread the disease to others. Such as the family that she worked with. And she believes that she did not get the disease so she refuses to have a test. I think the main idea in this book is people need to collaborate with others to fix the problem that they have.
There are 2 reasons why I recommend this book to others. First, the situation in this book is similar to the Covid 19 which makes me feel more interesting and I can focus on this more. Second, By reading this book, you can learn about typhoid fever. And in the book, there are some images or tables. because this book uses a number to show things, it’s easy to show how serious the situation was.
something I learn from this is that I need to read multiple times to have a full understanding of non-fiction books. while I was reading this book, for the first time, I have many things that make me confuse and I did not understand what the story is about. but when I’m keep reading again and again, I can understand deeper.
Before French Revolution, peasants were having a hard time under Louis XIV’s control. But after the Revolution, they are more equal than before. The French revolution is a bloody revolution. There are many death and execution during the revolution. Like other revolutions, this revolution is ended where it started, going from one monarchy to another. This video shows how was a peasant’s life under Louis’ control, what happened during the important events in the revolution.
The Boxers deserve a bad reputation because they kill lots of people and the Boxer Rebellion lead to many people died. When I look at the Newsela article, it says “the Boxers more Kill 230 foreign men, women, and children in China. Thousands of Chinese who had converted to Christianity were also killed by the Boxers.” Even they are proud of their culture and try to protect their culture from the missionary and Christian, they kill many Chinese Christian and foreign. and I think it is their freedom to believe Christian and for them. And because of the Boxer Rebellion, many people died as I said before more than thousands of people killed by the Boxers and this is only one part of the Boxer Rebellion and. And I think they can solve this problem without violence. Therefore, I think the Boxers deserve a bad reputation because they killed lots of foreigners and Chinese Christian and think they can solve this problem without violence.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a comedy written by Willan Shakespeare in 1595, in this scene 1 there are character call Theseus, Egeus, Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius, Helena. I’m going to talk about Lysander’s characterization in this paragraph. Lysander is a Romantic character who loves Hermia and wants to marry Hermia. But Hermia’s father Egeus thinks Demetrius is the man who is suited for her daughter Hermia and Egeus wants her to marry Demetrius but Hermia does not love Demetrius instead, she loves Lysander. So Egeus force Hermia to marry Demetrius. Lysander is a careless person because in line 208, he said to Helena “Helen, to you our minds we will unfold. Tomorrow night when Phoebe doth beholds her silver visage in the watery glass. Decking with liquid pearl the bladed glass (A time that lovers’ flights doth still conceal). Through Athens’ gates have we devised to steal” This evidence proves that he is a careless person because this is their secret plan, but by told their plan to Helena, Helena knew their plan and can tell their secret plan to other and if other people know about their plan to sneak out of Athens, it is going to be hard to sneak or they cannot sneak out of Athens. Also, Hermia can think Lysander is a romantic person because in line 163, Lysander said to Hermia ”there gentle Hermia, may I marry thee. And to that place the sharp Athenian law can not pursue us. If thou lovest me then. Steal forth thy father’s house tomorrow night. And in the wood, a league without the town .” this quote from the text shows that he is a romantic person because if he is not a romantic person I think he can not make a plan to sneak out of Athens because if there is any problem in this plan or mistake, they will catch by a guardian and if Theseus or Egeus know that they try to sneak out of Athens, they will be executed or never meet each other. And even he knew this, he asks her to sneak out of Athens.
When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:
- An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
- Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
- Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
