Percy Jackson Informational Blog

In the book “Percy Jackson and The Olympians”, the main character Percy makes many decisions that have led to some unlucky endings and many decisions that could have been improved. One was Percy losing his temper, on page 9 in the text it said “I was about to unwrap my sandwich when Nancy Bobofit appeared in front of me with her ugly friends — I guess she’d gotten tired of stealing from the tourists — and dumped her half-eaten lunch into Grover’s lap.” And the next thing he knew Nancy was sitting on her butt in the fountain screaming. Another one was Percy not listening to Grover and not seeing the clues that were given around him that made it obvious something was off. Instead, on page 29 in the text, it said, “Confession time: I ditched Grover as soon as we got to the bus terminal.” He took the taxi and all because Grover was freaking him out.

The decisions he’s made led to unlucky ending, for example, the decision he made when he lost his temper almost made him get into trouble, on page 10 in the text it said, “Come on with me,” Mrs. Dodds said. “Wait!” Grover yelped. “It was me. I pushed her.” Allowed him to get away from the situation, but sadly got Grover into trouble. The other decision where he was being childish and decided to ditch Grover and also not tell his mom anything at all about what happened, lead to two very unhappy people. On page 42 in the text, it said “ “Searching all night,” he gasped. “What were you thinking?” My mother looked at me in terror — not scared at Grover, but why’d he come. “Percy,” she said, shouting to be heard over the rain. “What happened at school?” What didn’t you tell me?” ” Percy went into shock, while there was something chasing after them.

The decisions he’s made could have also been way better and improved. For decision number 1 Percy made he could have distracted himself, insists the writer for Topic 2 Article 1 to manage emotions because then he could have avoided himself from the problem so that it doesn’t get worse. And for decision number 2 Percy made he could have not thought of what Grover was telling him in a negative way, insists the writer for Topic 2 Article 1 to manage emotions because sometimes the situation might have not been that bad, but the more you think of it in a negative way the worse the situation seems.

What kind of person is Percy Jackson?

In the book Percy Jackson And The Olympians, The Lightning Thief, I noticed that Percy is an intelligent and quick learner.

On page 55 and almost the whole of chapter 4 Percy was very intelligent and quick as a learner, despite the fact that in school he doesn’t seem to be able to follow with the class with ease, doesn’t turn in work on time, gets into trouble all the time, he is actually really intelligent and quick as a learner in this situation. On page 55, the text says, “I got both hands around one horn and I pulled backward with all my might. The monster tensed, gave a surprised grunt, then— snap!”

Percy killed the Minotaur, that just shows how intelligent he is, normal people wouldn’t know how to kill one. He also remembered what his mom said before he was on his own, and used them to escape death multiple times, which shows how quick he is as a learner. The dialogue above shows how intelligent Percy is. And the fact that he learned so quickly from his mother and applying this knowledge into his head for later situations, shows how he is a quick learner as well.
