Argumentative Essay Reflection

Two things that I did well on my argumentative essay is that I gave some clear explanations for my argument and gave the link of the website to support my evidence. However, I had trouble when I was writing my argumentative essay and that was my time management. Although I did finish my essay, I had very short amount of time left when I was on body 3 so I wrote really quickly and forgot to write the link to support my evidence. Also, I didn’t wrote my linking sentences to sum up my points.

Electronic Bookmark Reflection-Eric

I decided to make and electronic bookmark with a Minecraft player’s head as a decoration. The reason why I decided to make the bookmark is because I kind of often read books but I don’t have a lot of bookmarks so I use sticky notes as a bookmark so I decided to try to make one myself! Also, I chose to put a Minecraft player’s head is because I really love Minecraft and I play it everyday! When I looked at other finished design while I was still working on it, I felt really slow compared to others.

I have tried sewing with a machine but it was my first time sewing with my hand. The one thing that was quite challenging while make my bookmark was sewing the battery and the LED. My tip for the next semester’s student is to hold the thread and the needle together because it gets really annoying when the thread goes off of your needle. The new thing I want to learn related to this project is does sewing only work on felts?

Percy Jackson Essay

In the book Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, Percy Jackson was impacted by ADHD such as blurting out and doesn’t paying attention is class. However, he had positive relationships with Mr. Brunner and his Mother which made him happy. In this piece of writing, it will be discussing about how ADHD impacted Percy’s choices and how positive relationships helped Percy later on.

In the book, ADHD impacted Percy’s choices because he blurts out things and doesn’t pay attention in class. However, Percy could treat his ADHD by working out in the environments. We can find that Percy’s ADHD impacts Percy choices by the quote, “Will you shut up!?!?!?!–it came out of my mouth louder than I meant.” on PG 5, and in the article adapted by Newsela, there is a quote, “ People with ADHD blurts out answers in class.” Another quote that tells us that Percy’s choices are impacted by ADHD is, “My grades slipped to Ds to Fs.” on PG 17, and in the article adapted by Newsela, there is a quote, “not paying attention to details or making careless mistakes in school and not listening most of the time.” These are some of the symptoms that occurs by ADHD but by simulating out in the environments can help to improve Percy’s choices and we can find that out by the Newsela quote, “People with ADHD also do their best in simulating environments.” We can find that Percy blurts out things and doesn’t pay attention in class, and we can find that Percy’s choice was impacted by ADHD, but he could be treated by simulating out in the environments.

Secondly, positive relationships with Mr. Brunner and his Mother were good for Percy’s health. When Percy feels sad, he could be treated by old-fashioned writing. We can find that Percy’s positive relationship with Mr. Brunner helped Percy by the quote, “But Mr. Brunner, our Latin teacher, was leading this trip, so I had hopes.” on PG 2, and in the adapted by Newsela, there is a quote, “Personal connections may be more beneficial to one’s health and well-being than family relationships.” We can also find that positive relationship with Percy and his Mom helped Percy by the quote, “My mother can make me feel good just by walking into the room.” on PG 32~33, and in the article made by the University of Minnesota, there is a quote, “Having strong relationships were half as likely to catch a common cold.” These are some of the symptoms that occurs by positive relationship. However, Percy feels sad sometimes, and we can find that out by the quote, “I was homesick. I wanted to be with my mom in our little apartment on the Upper East Side.” on PG 17,  but it can be treated by old fashioned writing and in the article adapted by Newsela, there is a quote, “Feelings of sadness can be treated by old-fashioned writing.” We can find that Percy’s positive relationship with Mr. Brunner and his Mom helped Percy to stay healthy, but he sometimes feels sad and could be treated by old- fashioned writing.

Although Percy was impacted by ADHD, it was found out that it could be treated by simulating out in the environments. Not only that but when Percy feels sad, he could be handled by old-fashioned writing. By using these strategies’, Percy’s ADHD would be better and would be able to treat his sadness later on.

Circuits and Me #1

Course Reflection

My favorite circuit experience so far in the class was making an electric card because it was my first project that I’ve made and it was really fun trying and learning out new things even though I’ve made a lot of errors. The challenge that I’ve made through was finding out which one was the positive and negative side for the LED. I tried to put the copper on top of the LED but the LED was unstable and it was keep moving which made me challenging to put the copper on it but someone helped me to hold the LED and I made to overcame it.

Project Reflection

The theme for the electric card that I have made was a Christmas tree and the LED represented the star and the bulbs in it to make them shine. It was my first attempt so I did failed but I learned that the copper tape had to be smooth but mine wasn’t so I hope I could make my masterpiece successfully work next time. The thing that I was proud of my work was that my LED was going in to the positive and out to the negative.
