Am I A Humanist

I am 72% a humanist because I agree more than half with all of the different beliefs, but not fully. I feel like some of these ideas have small flaws with them that I am not 100% on the same side with, however, if I were to choose fully humanist or not humanist at all, I would say fully.

Found Poem Blog Post

My found poem from “Tuesday of the Other June”

The type of conflict that dominated the story, and the one that I focused on in my found poem, was an external character vs character conflict. It was a mean June that had the same name as the main character, bullying the main character. The conflict was mostly external, but it did have a few effects on her mind. For example, June didn’t want to cause trouble so she didn’t do anything about the bullying until the very end. The conflict was between June and the mean June, and it was mostly just the mean June hurting the nice June and calling her names. For example, when the nice June refuses to be referred to as ‘Fish Eyes’, she gets shoved into the pool. The way I showed that conflict in my poem, was by using multiple examples of when the mean June harms the nice June, and then representing the resolution. I used multiple parts of the times when the mean June was, or was about to, harm the main character. Finally, at the end of the poem, I represent the conflict in the story, (when the nice June says ‘no’ to the mean June and stops getting bullied), with a single ‘no’.

Welcome to Your New Blog!

When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
